I am pleased to welcome you to the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences (CPG), a distinguished college of academic excellence and innovation. At CPG, we are dedicated to advancing the fields of petroleum engineering, geosciences, and mining science & engineering through rigorous education, cutting-edge research, and impactful collaborations. Our programs are meticulously crafted to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to lead and excel in these critical and dynamic sectors.

Vision & Mission

The College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences (CPG) significantly leverages the educational and research capacity of KFUPM, to contribute to industry-relevant research and to develop industry-ready talent across a wide spectrum.

Long-Lasting Legacy

CPG was born out of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, which has a rich legacy of academic excellence going back more than 50 years. We intend to build on that base, expanding the University’s research capabilities in a way that supports its long-standing mission.
