Living & working at CPG

Compensation & benefits
We offer our teaching faculty, researchers, technicians, and other staff very competitive total compensation packages that include base pay, free on-campus housing, health care insurance, and much more, depending on the individual’s situation and experience. For Assistant, Associate, and Full Professors who are relocating to CPG, the package also includes a competitive salary, flight allowance, contribution towards local tuition fees for school-age children, two month’s annual leave, and a relocation allowance.

Local Area
The cities of Dhahran, Dammam, and Al Khobar are individually different and offer a variety of experiences and activities. These include a range of large malls and excellent restaurants. In addition, The University boasts a private beach, and the Corniche is a popular seaside attraction. The balance of being close to the Arabian Gulf and the causeway to Bahrain is also complemented by the surrounding desert where four-wheeled driving and traditional camping help shape the desert experience.

Family
Saudi Arabia, in general, is very family-oriented, and this holds true in the area around CPG. Within a short distance of the campus, women and children have everything they would need, including very good international schools. As noted above, there are many other things to do in and around the area. The College is committed to helping its ‘family’ – including its extended family – make the transition to Dhahran as smooth and comfortable as possible.
