Dr. Ahmed Al-Yaseri

Research Engineer II, CIPR

Dr. Ahmed Al-Yaseri joined the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research (CIPR) in December 2021 as a Research Engineer in the Petrophysics Program. Since December 2024, he has also been affiliated with the Department of Geosciences, where he continues to expand his academic and research activities.

With over 15 years of combined experience in teaching, engineering, and research, Dr. Al-Yaseri is recognized for his expertise in experimental techniques aimed at solving critical challenges in the oil and gas industry. He is actively leading several industrial projects and collaborating with multiple universities on cutting-edge research initiatives, bridging industry needs with academic innovation.

Dr. Al-Yaseri has authored more than 160 peer-reviewed publications, accumulating over 7,300 citations and an h-index of 49. His pioneering research and innovative approaches have made significant contributions to gas subsurface storage, Hydrogen production from subsurface rocks, and energy-related geosciences. His work contributes to advancing future applications in the energy sector and has established him as a recognized researcher in both academic and industrial communities.

Dr. Khaled Ibrahim

Research Engineer II, CIPR

Dr. Ibrahim joined CIPR in 2021 after 3 years of Postdoc fellowship at the Department of Petroleum Engineering, KFUPM. He worked as a research assistant (2011-2013) and Lecturer (2013-2018) in the same department whilst studying for his M.S and Ph.D. respectively. He Taught well logging and reservoir description courses to petroleum engineering undergraduate students. Dr. Ibrahim expertise focus on chemical EOR and matrix acidizing. He is a member of OFC group in CIPR and an active member of SPE.
