The field seminar was held from the 27th of October 2018 until the 2nd of November 2018. During this field seminar, we intensively studied the geology of Oman. The entire stratigraphic sequence was analyzed ranging from the ophiolites to the Cretaceous, but also the tectonic processes involved were studied as well as the development of the overall petroleum system. The fieldwork seminar was an intense learning experience and all students benefitted from the intensive preparation in the GEOL 592 course and the Petroleum Geology of Oman short-course.
