Education Week Activity:

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) represented by CPG undergraduate students had a strong presence in educational week activities held in conjunction with the IPTC 2020. Dr. Ammar ElHusseiny was a committee member and five KFUPM undergraduate students were selected to participate in the event. The participating students were:

  • Turki Awadh Allah AlSulami
  • Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Al Mogren
  • Abdulaziz AlOmran
  • Abdulelah AlAqad
  • Ali Ahmed Mansour AlKhunaizi

Part of the program included a contest “Scavenger hunt” where the international 100 participating students were divided into 19 teams. The competition required answering questions related to the oil industry in general as well as how it evolved in Saudi Arabia. Another task was to dialogue with the companies (in the exhibition) about the utilization of technology in their operations as well as attend some technical sessions and to talk about the whole IPTC experience. Our students, Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Al Mogren and Turki Awadh Allah AlSulami along with their team members won the first and second places, respectively.
