Knowledgeable professional in drilling and completion fluids gained solid expertise during operations and R&D experience in the oil and gas industry. I started my career as a field drilling and completion fluids engineer, then was promoted to work as a scientist in the Research and Development Center at Halliburton Oil Service Company.

Accurately collects, analyzes, and models the physical and chemical characteristics of drilling fluids and chemicals used to formulate drilling fluid systems using the highest industry standards under quality assurance standards. Talented in inspecting operations, approaching problems critically, and using sound judgment to break down and correct deficiencies. I excel at working in culture diversity, harsh and challenging environments.

Fyl assumed his role as a technical research assistant at CIPR on Apr. 4, 2012. His experience was long honed in thin section preparation and other key lab assignments.

Eyad is an environmental scientist. He has knowledge and experience in the field of laboratory and industrial waste treatment. He has worked in the field of environmental laboratories in Saudi Arabia for more than ten years. Through his long work experience, he becomes an expert in environmental pollutants, analysis and treatment methods in water, soil, and air. He has the ability to fully measure characterize organic and inorganic contaminants in various sample’s matrix using bulk, spectroscopic, spectrometric and chromatographic techniques (e.g. ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC-FID, GC-MS, FAAS, AAS, UV-VIS, NMR, FT-IR, HPLC …etc). He also can develop unconventional analytical methods and interact with colleagues to solve out analytical and waste management problems. In addition to his environmental experience, he has Quality Management System (QMS) experience like ISO9001 and ISO17025, during his past work experience he was heavily involved in establishing and presenting QMS. Eyad has joined LTSS in Jan-2018.

Hamza is a dedicated and forward-thinking geophysicist, graduated with First Honor from KFUPM by the end of 2024. Shortly after, he joined CPG as a Geophysics Laboratory Specialist in the Laboratory Technical Support & Services department. His academic journey has been marked by excellence and reflects a commitment to precision, excellence, and leadership.

As a Senior Media and System Analyst at CPG, I leverage my expertise in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and digital media to empower research and education within the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences (CPG). I spearheaded the integration of operational processes into LIMS, establishing new functionalities and optimizing workflows. Through collaboration with multiple departments, I ensured data integrity and system validation while contributing to corporate LIMS management. My commitment to efficiency extends to streamlining laboratory procedures, creating SOPs within the LIMS Laboratory Execution System (LES), and maintaining comprehensive operating documentation. I actively analyze data to formulate ad-hoc reports and key performance indicators, driving informed decision-making. As a selected author and presenter at IPTC 2020, I championed CPG’s digital transformation journey, sharing insights on optimizing laboratory operations through LIMS implementation. My passion lies in bridging the gap between technology and scientific advancement, and I thrive in environments where innovation plays a central role.

Beyond LIMS, I’m the architect behind the CPG website and social media channels, and I’m at the forefront of content development via photography, videography, and poster design.
