Hani Salman Al Mukainah
Engineer II, CIPR
Mr. Hani joined the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geoscience’s Centre of Integrated Petroleum Research in 2016 as an engineer in the petrophysics research group. Mr. Hani is a specialist in digital rock physics, acquiring digital images of natural rock at the pore scale, as well as at the core scale, and theoretically analysing these images. His recent spectacular results include the generation of wormholes in carbonates as a result of acid treatment. Hani has also worked on producing digital resistivity data from micro-images and understanding its findings. In addition, Mr. Hani is currently involved in several funded research such as, CO2 and H2 underground storage projects to examine the rock-fluid interaction and its effect on pore structures using a CT scanner.

Ajibola is a research assistant at the Centre for Integrative Petroleum Research, CPG, KFUPM, Saudi Arabia. His academic journey includes a Master’s degree in Life Sciences at KFUPM with a focus on the bioremediation of petroleum pollutants. Currently, he works within the Geosystem Research Group, specializing in the use of Advanced microscopy techniques for the visualization and analysis of geological, petroleum, chemical, and biological samples.

Reem M. Al-Boraikan
PMO Officer, CIPR
Reem has joined the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research (CIPR) in October 2020 as project management officer (PMO). AlBoraikan worked as Scientist Chemist at Halliburton Dhahran Technology Center based in Saudi Arabia for the last 5 years. She holds a BSc. in chemistry applied science from Imam Abdurrahman bin Faisal University, holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Colorado State University/ Saudi Electronic University. Reem has been working with different R&D projects mainly in drilling. She’s an active member of the professional societies and has participated in different Committees related to social, and technical activities. She has co-authored 3 technical papers and is holding four US patents.

Ahmad Mahboob

Ahmad has a master’s degree in petroleum engineering with specialization in CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR). In Sept. 2017, he joined Laboratory Technical Support Services (LTSS) department, at CPG-KFUPM where he worked as a Lab Specialist in Quantitative Analysis Laboratory, Core Preparation Laboratory and PVT Laboratory. In Dec. 2018, he joined Center for Integrative Petroleum Research (CIPR)-KFUPM as Engineer-II in Oil Field Chemistry group and with his expertise and experience, he has progressed both in stature and status amongst his peers. He is also the assistant coordinator for “Fluid Characterization Laboratory”.

He joined the Advanced petrophysics & Nuclear Magnetic Resonance/Magnetic Resonance Imaging laboratories at CIPR, KFUPM in 2017. He has a diversified experience in various research fields like Nuclear Magnetic Resonance/Magnetic Resonance Imaging rock core scanning & analysis for fluid typing, saturation recovery, diffusion distribution etc. Using core flood method to study foam properties, gas trapping & wettability alteration in porous media using chemical methods like surfactants & nanoparticles.

Ibtisam is currently working as a lab specialist in the Center for Integrated Petroleum Research, College of Petroleum Engineering & Geoscience, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).
