Dr. Nabil Saraih

Instructor, Department of Geosciences

Dr. Nabil Saraih is an instructor at the Department of Geosciences. He has more than 10 years of experience in the petroleum and academic sectors. Dr. Saraih’s professional journey includes working as a geoscientist engineer with Schlumberger and later with TOTAL Energie, where he built integrated models (static and dynamic) for Kharir Biyad reservoir. Returning to Schlumberger, he served as a Geologist and Geophysics Software Engineer in Yemen and Pakistan, supporting client companies in solving subsurface-related problems. In addition to his industry roles, Dr. Saraih has taught several courses at local universities in Yemen and more recently at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He is proficient in industry-leading software tools such as Petrel, GIS, Techlog, Omega, Petromod, Reflex, Voxeler, and Eclipse. Dr. Saraih’s current research focuses on carbonate sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, reservoir quality controls, outcrop and subsurface modeling, and fracture characterization.
