Dr. Konstantinos Chavanidis

Researcher, Department of Geosciences

Dr. Konstantinos Chavanidis is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Geosciences of the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia. In 2024, he received his PhD in Geophysics from the same College, while he also holds a Master’s in Hydrocarbon Exploration and Exploitation (2020) and a Bachelor’s in Geology (2016) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. Before joining CPG-KFUPM, Dr. Chavanidis worked as a consultant on several geophysical exploration projects, serving as a member of the Exploration Geophysics Laboratory of Aristotle University. As a PhD candidate and postdoc researcher, he is/was involved in projects related to the application of geophysical methods to natural resources exploration, mineral studies, groundwater, and archaeological research. He is an active member of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).
