This month of May has seen my 2nd Anniversary of becoming Dean of The College of Petroleum and Geosciences.
It remains one of my proudest life achievements to serve in this honorable capacity and I have taken the opportunity to both reflect on the strides made by everyone associated with CPG during this time and consider the stretching targets we have set ourselves for the future as a leading educational and research establishments in supporting the Oil & Gas Industry both within The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Internationally.
Our students and faculties have set very high standards and achieved a great deal over the past 24 months. The future of Petroleum Engineering and Research Programs as a key driver of economic, environmental and social wellbeing is robust and we consider ourselves to be a positive force for change within our industrial sector and within the wider national interest agenda prompted and shaped by The Saudi Vision 2030 initiative.
Across the important ingredients of Students, Faculties, Teaching, Research, Industry Partnerships, and Social Wellbeing – CPG has a recipe that combines a mixture of quality local and international flavors and produce that appeals to a growing and discerning audience of followers.
Our commitment to the Oil & Gas Industry and our participation and engagement with the communities that we serve, are just two of the attributes that attracted me to the role at CPG. There are many others that cannot be referenced on the grounds of space allocation but suffice to say that we should be proud of what we have achieved and enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead.
Perhaps over a good meal this evening, I will celebrate and toast the continued success of CPG – the premier tertiary education and research establishment of its kind in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a leading International Oil & Gas College specializing in Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences.
