Jarvis Cline is privileged to hold a mid-level leadership position within the Remote Sensing & Digital Services team at CPG.  Coming from a technical background in software development, Jarvis has spent most of his career in 3D data capture and analysis as applied to surface geology and aerial survey.  Coming from experiences at two startup companies, Jarvis has learned the necessity of striving to be a proactive member of a team as well as the personal lesson of failing towards success.  He believes that organizations should aspire to excellence through the collective and cross‑disciplinary efforts of their team members, thus he is especially gratified to be part of such an innovative institution as CPG.  The integration of an engineering discipline and a science discipline create an environment which he views as rife with potential and positive impact, and the vision at CPG to pursue these cuts across supporting students, performing research, innovating in educational delivery, fostering a spin-off and entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing services within the public sector, partnering with industry, and promoting efficiency and professional development within the organization.  Thus, Jarvis is more than honored with his promotion after two years with the College, in September 2020, to a position of responsibility as Assistant Director for Remote Sensing & Digital Services, a unit which is unique in the world but which has the opportunity to execute on all of the above opportunities.  Jarvis is consistently inspired by the talent and esprit of the personnel he is privileged to work with, and he believes that leadership opportunities are present everywhere and that these opportunities are realized wherever strong work ethic, attention to detail, assertive communication, and teamsmanship and spirit of service intersect.  Jarvis continually fails towards better success in these regards, and he looks forward to earnestly serving you. 

Jarvis Cline considers himself a resource and is delighted to be consulted regarding digital outcrops as well as technologies such as photogrammetry, GPS equipment, or aerial survey by drone.  You might also encounter him in remote sensing and geospatial projects, where he can be consulted regarding the availability of data as well as on the research & development side, and he is always excited by opportunities for the development of in-house or prototype software.  As part of the Remote Sensing & Digital Services team, Jarvis is also part of an ecosystem within the College that serves students with their IT, software, and learning-platform related needs as well as supports them to use cutting edge technologies in their studies and research. 

Eassa Abdullah’s journey with the Petroleum Engineering Department began in 2016, when he joined as an Instructor and Researcher. He brings expertise in reservoir rock and fluid properties, teaching the core course PETE 206, and regularly contributes to research projects in the reservoir characterization field.

In addition to his academic contributions, Eassa has been pleased to take an active role in nurturing the growth of the SPE Student Chapter by offering mentorship and consultancy. Eassa finds this direct interaction with students and opportunity to help foster and develop their professional journey to be one of the most rewarding aspects of his contributions at the College. 

Eassa was also appointed as the ِActing Supervisor for CPG Laboratories in 2023. In this role, he actively sets performance goals and deadlines aligned with CPG’s vision, optimizes workflow and team productivity, manages schedules, and provides insightful feedback to drive continuous improvement. His strategic approach and commitment to excellence make him an indispensable asset in steering LTSS towards new heights of success.

Since Sept. 21, 1997 Al Ghamdi has been assuming the role of research assistant and now is handling several tasks of projects funded by oil companies for geological analysis of surface and subsurface rock samples for different reservoirs, including thin section preparation for rock samples and more than 18,000 thin sections for Saudi Aramco and other major oil companies. His scope of work extends to sample cleansing, lab handling, field and office land survey, operating and supervising machines e.g. spectral ptrothin, multivolume pycnometer and mercury porosimeter.

Hussain holds Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) from Cape Breton University (CBU), Canada, and has been assuming the role of HR officer at KFUPM since 2016. He brings to the College a 14-year established track record that commenced with Armas Company Ltd. as an HR Manager (2016), Saudi Arabia School as a Principal and HR Manager (2014), Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as an Assistant Manager (2008), Saudi Railways Organization as a Dispatch Officer (2007), Dammam Development Company as an Assistant Manager (2006), and Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) as an Assistant Manager (2003-6). To grow his work expertise Hussain signed up for courses on SAP Financial Accounting, Key User (2015), SAP Financial Accounting Configuration (2015), and Monitors Progress of Trains (2007).

Ali joined our Petroleum department in 2016. He is an upbeat, self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills. He is currently working as a Safety Officer, for the college of Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences.

Shaikha is an enthusiastic, goal oriented individual who is able to showcase a strong technical skill set, a robust work ethic, and productive team collaboration, which are essential components to success in creative design. With an obtained degree in Graphic Design coupled with hands-on extensive training in illustration and design/graphics, utilizing various computer software programs.

Mahmoud joined Petroleum Department in 2019. He is Knowledgeable about potentially hazardous materials or practices. He has outstanding organizational skills, excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics. He is currently working as a Safety Officer, for the College of Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences.
