Khalid has been serving as a digital facilities supervisor for the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences since 2015. His role focuses on managing the operation of graduate and undergraduate PC labs for Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences Dept., managing the new software procurement requests, software installation and donations by different companies as well as the renewal of CPG’s existing software together with other assignments related. Khalid’s experience, as a petroleum engineer, is primarily inherent in well stimulation and reservoir geomechanics. Between January – December 2014 he was employed by Schlumberger Dhahran Carbonate Research Center, during which he was involved in SDCR to implement all the experiments linked to MS thesis and was adequately drilled on handling equipment e.g. Rotating Disk Apparatus (RDA) and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) as well as acid preparation and standardization as well.
